Karen Vaillancourt, Artist
I am a self-taught artist and writer, currently living and working in the Pittsburgh area. My work is inspired by my Christian faith, and by many years of observation and appreciation of nature. I am especially intrigued by the unexpected patterns, and the range and stunning beauty of Mother Nature's palette.

I began painting when my youngest child, my daughter, was born. I started out with a landscape painting in oils, inspired by the great artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Winslow Homer, Albert Bierstadt and Thomas Moran. I create works that I like, and hope that others enjoy them as well.

A portion of all sales will go toward my favorite charities, the ASPCA and the World Wildlife Fund. Please help prevent cruelty to animals, and save our planet!
